Hey , if you don't play an instrument you can't understand the pleasure we get from playing. There is so much enjoyment in those 6 strings. So much development, expression, joy and confidence. The journey to improve is often incredibly motivating and rewarding. It increases our sense of
fulfilment with every new milestone. The joy of playing your first song or your 100th gig is intoxicating. The nerves are still there but you're courageous. The confidence that can come from playing in front of people can go on to enrich many other areas of our lives. And for the songwriters and those that interpret other peoples songs the rewards of expression, and discovering musical identity is deeply
satisfying. At levels that only people participating in the arts can truly experience and achieve. And this doesn't matter if you haven't played in a while or if you're playing everyday. You understand these pleasures. And these pleasures have had a profound impact on your personality, mindfulness and concentration. That's why when we get bitten by the guitar bug, it rarely lets us
forget. I'm grateful for being a musician. And I extend that gratitude to you. Keep on playing and have a musical weekend, Drue James www.LearnGuitarInLondon.com |
