Hey , to play barre chords it's 80% effort and 20% technique. For the technique part it's essential you follow some rules. Finger order, placement and thumb position are critical! My latest lesson takes you through each of these:

At the end of this video I also show you an example of the 80% effort part.
Common open to barre chord progressions. Play these for a couple of minutes everyday.
As part of the effort it's important to play them in songs.
