sweaty faces and swearing |
Hey , I can barely lift my arms right now. My muscles are smashed in. How did this happen? Lifting what my mate (Dave) and I have named "The Enforcer" A 14kg iron tool that smashes fence posts into the ground. It's caused sweating, strained
faces and a LOT of swearing. After 58 posts our arms are like jelly. But it's a great sense of achievement to see what our hard work has created. Not to mention learning a new skill. Can you see where I'm going with this? That first post was insanely difficult. We didn't have a clue what we were doing. So much trial and error. Just like
that first guitar song. But what made us keep going? In our case it was finishing the project. We got faster as we learnt more about the task. When learning guitar once you know a few chords the songs happen faster. Once you've put in the time, it pays off further down the line. It's often starting or restarting that's the hardest
part. I must admit I'm not looking forward to thumping in more posts next week. But even after a break I'm still keen, still eager and still enjoying the process. Action often creates the motivation and inspiration needed to keep on playing. Have a great weekend, Drue James www.LearnGuitarInLondon.com Not a LGIL
